Head Gear: Full coverage (full face) helmets designed for competitive motor sports use, complying at minimum with Snell Foundation 2000 specifications or newer are mandatory. Helmet must be in good condition and is subject to pre-tech inspection. Helmet must be secured with a strap. Non full face helmets may be used with prior approval of management.

Eye Protection: Eye protection is mandatory, either goggles designed for motor sports use or a full visor, integral with the helmet.

Neck Brace: Collar-type, unaltered neck brace designed for motor sports use is mandatory. Losing a neck brace will cause immediate removal of the competitor from practice or a race. Except for Mini Cups.

Driver Apparel: Drivers are required to wear jackets of leather, vinyl, or abrasion resistant nylon or equivalent, and full length pants to prevent or minimize abrasions. Shoes, socks, and gloves are mandatory. Does not have to be racing style.

Driver Restraints: A full, designed for racing SFI-rated, five point harness is mandatory. Metal to metal type fasteners are mandatory. No harness will be approved if it is more than seven (7) years old or in deteriorated condition.

Arm Restraints: Arm restraints are mandatory and must be attached to the restraint system, except mini cup drivers.

Elbow Protection: It is strongly encouraged for all drivers to wear a hard plastic elbow pad for protection on their right elbow.

Safety Tech: All driver's personal safety equipment is subject to pre-race tech inspections, and is subject to re-inspection at any time.

Management Note: No expressed or implied warranty of safety shall result from publication of, or compliance with, these rules and regulations and specifications.

 

Track Vendors: Any person wishing to sell goods or sevices at Richmond Raceway must obtain a Vendors License with the management. A copy of resale certificate must also be on file with management.

 

Track management reserves the right to confiscate any competitors engine or parts at any time for any reason. All divisions with track tires maybe confiscated during the week!

Track management reserves the right to confiscate any competitor's engine or part, at any time, for any reason.

It is impossible to list all the modifications or exceptions that may be considered illegal within this online version of the rule book. For the purpose of enforcement, only those items listed are permissible. It shall be the owner's/operator's responsibility to check with the Tech official if questions arise prior to competing.

Any Rules or modifications to the rules, after the season has started, will be posted on the parts building information board at the track.
